A customized investment strategy to grow your nest egg, provide income and help achieve your financial goals!
Ideally Investment Management Services are provided within the context of an overall financial plan, but we can also offer Investment Management on a stand-alone basis. Whichever is the case, we work with you to develop an individualized investment strategy based on your goals, time horizon, tolerance for risk and the other components of your financial situation.
While we always would like our client portfolios to outperform the appropriate benchmarks, we are also mindful of the fact that achievement of your financial goals is our overriding objective.
Individual portfolios are constructed using a variety of investment vehicles, typically including mutual funds, exchange traded funds, and individual equity or fixed income securities. Our compensation consists solely of the management fees you pay us; there are no commissions, sales charges (loads) or other incentives to favor one investment over another. We sell no proprietary products.
Many financial advisors adhere to the Efficient Market Theory, citing its development and promotion by a number of Nobel Prize winners. The practical application of this theory is to utilize asset allocation among a variety of index funds as the primary means to capture the desired risk-reward profile for a particular investor.
While we believe that the markets are generally efficient over time, we also see that there is a wide disparity between the best performing fund managers and the average fund. Within the overall asset allocation we've agreed on, we seek out those managers who give us the best chance for excess returns (or the same return with less volatility). We're also aware that the markets occasionally get a little emotional - either too fearful or overly exuberant, and may look for opportunities to take advantage of asset classes that are undervalued for no fundamental reason.
Unless instructed otherwise, we use Shareholders Service Group as our custodian with clearing through Pershing LLC, a subsidiary of Bank of New York Mellon. Securities are held and regular statements produced by the custodian and on-line client access to your account information is available.
